Welcome to Southern Dragways

Southern Dragways is the worlds Southern most drag racing club.

We were formed to hold regular local and national drag race meetings at Teretonga Dragways near Invercargill and have for 20 years

We were stopped racing on Teretonga by the FIA 5 years ago and now hold once a year meetings at Alexandra airport and 1/8 mile events at Gore and Invercargill.

We are currently in negotiations with the Invercargill City Council to arrange land to build a purpose built Drag strip beside the Teretonga site.

We have just come to an agreement with the Southland Sports Car Club to run street car meetings on Teretonga which will help keep our members busy.
